Vinyasa Dance is a body and mind practice created by Brigitte Breternitz. It is an infinite liquid fusion of Vinyasa Yoga and Dance, a constant movement of body, mind and soul. When you meditate, you are fully awake and alert, but your mind is not focused on the external world or on the events taking place around you. Meditation requires an inner state that is still and one-pointed so that the mind becomes silent. When the mind is silent and no longer distracts you, meditation deepens.
In our Course you will learn different techniques of meditations as such as dance meditation, breath awareness meditation, body scan meditation, mindfulness meditation … and more. Basic studies will include muscular-, skeletal- and nervous systems. These concepts will be applied in relation to the yogic asanapractice and different dance and movement techniques. We will discuss and put light especially on the art of movement, music and dance. This very special classes might change your perception and understanding about the art you are committed to. It is also considered to be the deadliest martial art in the world. The oldest reference comes from the Vedas bce where also Yoga was mentioned.
This ancient technique focuses on energetic footwork and on making the person both physically and mentally strong. It consists of kicking movements and extremely high jumping. Many of the movement units of Kalaripayattu are named after various animals and they clearly imitate animal movements. It seems to confirm the long roots of these traditions, extending back to pre- historical times, when contact with the animal world was intensively close. The training of Kalaripayattu is highly spiritual, creative, rhythmic, physical intense, insiring and its movements have lots of similarities to Modern Dance.
In this Classes you will get the tools to teach Yoga and your Movement art in a save and encouraging way, being authentic and as individual as you are yourself. We believe in empowering you to both — learn and teach. During the course we will focus on specific classical Hatha Yoga postures, Vinyasa Flows, sun salutations, and meditations.
